Our online training course (called “The Birth Trauma Training Programme”) is designed for any professional looking to upskill around birth trauma, the cost of caring and trauma-informed ways of working. It is interactive, accessible, action-packed and includes:

What topics does it cover?
There are five modules of learning which cover all of the topics below.
The programme is run by: Trudi Webber (Training Lead), Dr Rebecca Moore (Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist and MBB Co-founder), Dr Jan Smith (Chartered Psychologist), Kate Greenstock (Midwife & Coach), Sakina Ballard (Advanced Lived Experience Practioner and MBB Director), Nikki Wilson (CEO) and Dr Michelle Tolfrey (Senior Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Director of Talking Heads).
The sessions include the voices of women, birthing people and families who have experienced birth trauma, as well as professionals who have experienced vicarious trauma. Each session also includes time for reflection so you can design the actions you want to take to make birth better.

Live course (£249 - payment plans available): The next round of live training begins on Monday 14th October 2024. There will be five 90 minutes sessions each running on Monday afternoons at 1-2.30pm (UK time). There will be a break for half term and no session will run on Monday 28th October.
Live training will be held on:

Monday 21st October, 1-2.30pm
Monday 4th November, 1-2.30pm
Monday 11th November, 1-2.30pm
Monday 18th November, 1-2.30pm
All sessions will be recorded and can be accessed until May 2025.

You will be watching pre-recorded videos and be able to submit questions to us throughout. Each module is 1.5 hours long and comes with an additional learning library.
You have six months to complete the training from the day of purchase so you can choose how and when you wish to work through it. FAQ’s
How do I access the training? On purchasing the training, you will receive an email with details of how to access our training hub. From here you will be able to access the training, worksheets, slides and all of the bonuses.
Can the places be purchased via invoice from the organisation I work for? Yes, we can arrange this for you. Please just email us here with your requirements.
Will continuing education credit be available? We will be offering a certificate of attendance for the course but we are not yet CPD registered (this is something we’re looking into).
How long will I have access to the recordings? You’ll have access to the online course recordings for 6 months from the date of purchase.
Can I ask the facilitators questions? Yes! If you have any questions or queries about the training, please send them over to hello@makebirthbetter.org and we will get them answered as quickly as possible.
